Its a family affair here in Las Vegas when the Big Ballers VXT Elite Team take the floor, and we literally mean family affair.  The Ball brothers all suit up together on this team and if that’s not enough dad Lavar and mom Tina coach, while cousin Chazz Smith is in uniform as well.

Brothers Lonzo, LiAngelo, and the youngest Lamelo all hone their skills at Chino Hills High in California. Lonzo a senior and LiAngelo a junior have both committed to playing college ball at UCLA.  LiAngelo a rising freshman will just be entering high school basketball, but here at the Adidas Uprising Championships the 2019 guard is showing that he can hold his own on the big stage.

In a morning win over the Atlanta Celtics the Ball brothers combined for 93 points.  Lonzo lead the way with 36, as he almost posted a triple double by adding 10 rebounds and 9 assists. LiAngelo poured in 25 points, but it was the 5’10 Lamello that stole the show with 32 points on 7-13 shooting from three.

Many haven’t seen the Ball brothers, only heard about them as they have not been mainstays on any of the grassroots circuits this summer.  They are all very different in their own right as Lonzo is the playmaker, LiAngelo the shooter, and Lamelo might turn out to be a combination of both.

Lonzo a 6’5 play making point guard that one scout on the west coast said was the best guard prospect since Jason Kid.  Those are some big shoes to fill, but the senior might be closer to the comparison than one may think.

In his next outing Lonzo did get that triple double against the Adidas Gauntlet Champions NY Rens.  The stat line reads 22 points 12 rebounds 16 assists.  You can guess who was on the other end of those 16 assists as brothers LiAngelo scored 34 points and Lamelo had 25 of his own.  This family is tight knit, I wonder who will get to keep the trophy in their room if they win.
