This past college basketball season we saw the NCAA come down on Jim Boehim and the Syracuse Men's Basketball program due to the programs involvement in academic misconduct, extra benefits, and the university drug testing policy.  As a result of the findings the Hall Of Fame coach will have to sit out the first 9 games and undergo two years of recruiting restrictions.

Recruits keep up with everything that goes on with the schools that they have strong interest in.  In Syracuse's case, the recruits that they had landed before the NCAA sanctions chose to stay true to their commitments.  In the latest case of universities vs the NCAA, North Carolina might have lost out on one of the nations top players in Brandon Ingram with all the talk of violations involving academic fraud.  Today the University of North Carolina has released its notice of allegations from the NCAA.
