On Tuesday night Lone Peak (UT) shooting guard Frank Jackson scored 28 points in the team’s final regular season game, a 77-61 victory over Riverton. Those 28 points pushed Jackson’s scoring average to 27.8 ppg heading into the Utah State Tournament.
Those same 28 points also catapulted Jackson to #7 all-time on the Utah high school basketball’s scoring list with 2,024 points.  With potentially four state tournament games remaining for Lone Peak to win the State title, Jackson needs just 259 points to surpass Gunnison’s Gary Hill to become the states all -time leading scorer.
