Drue Drinnon Goes For 27 Pts Against Top 25 Team In Preseason Scrimmage
Georgia high school basketball fans were treated with a preseason scrimmage between Top 25 ranked Miller Grove and East Jackson last night. Miller Grove’s general, Alterique Gilbert, was the most recognized player on the floor but underclassman Drue Drinnon stole the show by leading all scorers with 27 points. Drinnon’s stock is steadily rising and he has recently caught the interest of the UNC Tarheels. Gilbert and Miller Grove would walk away with a 94-68 victory. The UCONN commit finished with 22 points and shot the ball extremely well from behind the arc.
The game was also filled with other talented guards like Travis Anderson(East Jackson), Lamont Smith(East Jackson), and Aaron Augustine(Miller Grove).
