The nation’s No. 1 high school basketball prospect Harry Giles chose Duke University live on ESPN early this afternoon. The North Carolina native becomes yet another elite prospect to join Hall Of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski, a commitment that now catapults the Blue Devils’ recruiting class to the best in the land.

The senior at Oak Hill Academy becomes Duke’s third Top 10 rated player in their 2016 class along with 6’8 SF Jayson Tatum (Chaminade HS) and 6’4 combo guard Frank Jackson (Lone Peak HS,) Factor in Top 50 forward Javin DeLaurier and this freshman class could be as good as we’ve seen in recent history, and the Blue Devils still have room for more.

Today, the world knows Harry Giles as a 6’10 monster who sits atop of the high school basketball world, but rewind four years ago around this time, Giles was introduced to Courtcred as a skilled 6’6 8th grader who was determined to make a name for himself.
