#1 Chino Hills Remains Perfect After Defeating #2 Bishop Montgomery
This has been a week filled with action packed games between the top two teams in the area or state. buy original provigil online Chicago high school basketball fans watched Morgan Park showdown with Simeon in a tough battle. Out west undefeated source Chino Hills battled undefeated http://araliasystems.com/pages/about_us.htm Bishop Montgomery. Who would come out on top?
Chino Hills wasn’t able to get into their normal offensive rhythm all night. In fact, Bishop Montgomery seemed to have Chino Hills on the edge. David Singleton scored 22 points, Jordan Schakel had 19 points and Ethan Thompson dropped 17 points. Time and time again though, Lonzo Ball proved to be a leader for his team. Lonzo was only 2 of 21 from the field but showed us why at 6’6 he is still capable of being a point guard dishing out 14 assists. Recipients of Lonzo’s 14 dimes were LiAngelo Ball who finished with 22 points, LaMelo Ball 18 points and Elizjah Scott 16 and Onyeka Okongwu 10.
Chino Hills would go on to pull out the win 71-67. They are now 22-0. Lonzo Ball is closing in on Josh Jackson who has the most votes for Player of the Year at this point. But it’s hard to deny a player who has done everything for his team. The Huskies are 22-0 behind his leadership at the point guard position. They are now ranked #1 in the nation. They’re the most exciting team in high school basketball to watch (arguably). He’s bigger, at 6’6, and more athletic than most point guards he’ll face on a nightly basis. Not to mention, not too many players can score in double digits but still control the tempo and pull out narrow wins like this. Stats alone Josh Jackson is a sure shot. Overall team value, I may have to go with Mr. Ball out in Cali. Stay tuned for more on this discussion of National Player of the Year.
