Nike is aware of the exponential growth of the Rose Classic(Miami,Atlanta,Chicago) and decided to create the Rose Classic Lunar Gamer Low.  This shoe will be the first of its kind, representing a female urban brand that has crossed over into a male fan base.

Established in 2006, the Rose Classic has become the benchmark brand for organized and competitive basketball for female athletes.  Since its inception, the "Rose", as it is affectionately known, has attracted some of the nations top talent that has gone on to have success in college, overseas and the WNBA.  Some standouts that have participated in the Rose are Epiphany Prince(RUTGERS/CHICAGO SKY), Kia Vaughn(RUTGERS/NY LIBERTY), Shannon Bobbitt(TENNESSEE/INDIANA FEVER), Erica Morrow(SYRACUSE), Anjale Barrett(MARYLAND), Maggie Lucas(PENN STATE), Stephanie Dolson(UCONN), Bria Hartley(UCONN), and China Crosby(VIRGINIA).

The Rose Classic runs for Spring/Fall cycles on an annual basis.  The league is open to High School, AAU, Travel and other organized teams.
